    Adventures of Mana

  7. Kemco releases new details on Alphadia Genesis, its first-ever 3D RPG New look, same Kemco Kemco games is one of the most prolific JRPG publishers in mobile, and it's moving in a new direction this year by embracing full 3D graphics and voice acting. The game to sport both of these new features is Alphadia Genesis, a JRPG that we had the chance to go hands-on with at E3 which just launched for iOS and Android in Japan. Siliconera reports that despite the tremendous leap forward in aesthetics, the story at the heart of Alphadia Genesis is still quintessentially Kemco. This time, there's an army of evil clones waiting to rebel against their human master and it's up to the protagonist, Frey, to stop them. Now hear this In terms of innovation, Alphadia Genesis represents a leap similar to the one that Squaresoft made between Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII - meaning, the 16-bit sprites have been replaced with polygonal 3D models. Unlike FFVII in the analogy above, however, Alphadia Genesis will feature full voice acting - although, Kemco notes that the English localisation will only have the original Japanese voiceovers. We don't have an updated release window for the western release of Alphadia Genesis just yet, but we'll keep you updated as soon as we know more. http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Alphadia+Genesis/news.asp?c=56397
  8. Devil May Cry developer Ninja Theory is bringing a game to Android called Fightback In the world of mobile gaming Ninja Theory isn't really a company you would have heard of. However, in the console gaming world, Ninja Theory has produced some pretty awesome action games such as Devil May Cry. Well the company has decided to get their hands a little dirty in the world of mobile gaming and have announced Fightback, a title which will bring some ass kicking action to Android and iOS. While there isn't a whole lot of details right now regarding Fightback, the developer's are fashioning the game after the old action flicks from the 80's and the game will apparently come with revolutionary new touch-based combat controls although they don't go further into details as to what exactly that means. This announcement also helps validate the fact that more and more console game developers are looking at phone/tablet gaming as a true viable gaming platform. Mobile and tablet gaming is a phenomenon that we just couldn’t ignore as a studio and we’re very proud to be working with one of the industry’s heavy-weights on bringing Fightback to market. Ninja Theory has always strived for the highest production values and that absolutely remains the case in this exciting new space. - Dominic Matthews, Product Manager, Ninja Theory Ltd. Judging from the solitary screenshot that has been made available, there will be plenty of kicking people in the stomach region in Fightback. As for when this game will come out, both the iOS and Android version are slated for release this Summer. However, it looks like it will most likely be end of June or in July as Ninja Theory plans to have a demo for hands-on playing during E3 2013. While Ninja Theory is developing Fightback, Chillingo announced the game and will be the company who publishes it. As for how much it will cost, Fightback will be free-to-play. When more details are released, we will be sure to update everyone. Website Referenced: Chillingo

  10. The first game announced under the Sega and Aiming partnership was Towa no Tsurugi. It’s also a MMO style game mixed with shmup elements. Towa no Tsurugi looks kind of like The Red Star or Mirror War from L&K. There is still no word as to whether the game will make it to the West, but part of the SEGA x Aiming deal was to be able to release mobile games “internationally” – so there is a chance the game might come to Western app stores at some point.
  11. Sega is making a bigger push into the mobile market with help from Aiming. The two companies are working on a couple of multiplayer mobile games like the combat oriented, side scrolling game Record of Phantom Tower Griffon. Four players can link up on this action RPG to explore dungeons and fight monsters. Or if you prefer PvP, Record of Phantom Tower Griffon has four vs. four guild battles. Defeating a rival guild is a good reason to level up your Paladin and gain better skills to protect your party, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkJYu8lAkVk

  13. GREE is surely in need of hit titles at the moment. While I don’t think that city-building sim Animal Days will become an evergreen, things are different with a third-party title that has been just unveiled (for GREE only). Users in Japan can now pre-register for “One Piece – Adventure Log”, the second social game based on the impossibly popular One Piece manga and anime series. Maker Bandai Namco, whose social games have a combined audience of 30 million people, hasn’t fixed an exact release date yet. Details are relatively scarce at the moment, but One Piece – Adventure Log has been categorized as a “sea battle RPG” that (obviously) uses characters and scenarios from the manga. Sign of the times: it will not be released on feature phones. In any case, with this kind of IP (probably the most valuable you can get in Japan at the moment) and Bandai Namco’s expertise in making social games, GREE is sure to have a winner when this title hits their platform. One Piece – Grand Collection, which was released on Mobage early last year, currently counts over 4 million users, and it’s still going very strong. 15. GAME FEATURES Delver’s Drop is a 2D Action RPG with fluid physics-based movement, snappy combat, shifting dungeons, and a rogue’s gallery of character classes. With an emphasis on mystery and dynamic gameplay experiences, the game features randomization for infinite replay and multiple narrative paths. BATTLE & ADVENTURE The movement and combat in Delver’s Drop are based on a unique physics system, designed to make the most fluid and tight 2D action game possible. Every character, enemy, object, and environmental effect in the game interact based on this system, and have properties for mass, friction, velocity, acceleration, and bounciness. This opens up a variety of tactical approaches for solving puzzles, defeating your foes, and turning the environment to your advantage. Fluid 360-degree movement with controller support. The physics affect every interaction, and are integral to defeating some enemies and solving puzzles. Use the environment against your foes by swatting stones at them, causing explosions, triggering traps, and more. RANDOM DUNGEON EXPLORATION Every playthrough, every room discovered, every descent to your ultimate unknown goal is a unique experience through the miracle of Pixelscopic’s patented Randungeonization™. Delver’s Drop makes each dungeon dive unique by randomizing the dungeon each time you die. Some experience, progress, and completed rooms will remain intact, but the dungeon will shift into a new layout for a totally different experience. Likewise, the class you play and the choices you make affect what happens and what parts of the story unfold in any given journey down the Drop. Explore a shifting maze where each adventure is different, and requires players to rely on their wits and skill to overcome the odds Enjoy endless replay value – there’s always the potential for something truly surprising through the next door Dungeon navigation becomes strategic in itself — solve multi-dimensional puzzles that affect the layout and traversal of rooms DUBIOUS HEROES & DASTARDLY FOES Play as one of several classes of imprisoned miscreants – Rogues, Sorcerers, Gladiators, and more. Each has unique movement properties, weapons, perks, and special abilities. Individual “heroes” are somewhat expendable, since each time one dies another is thrown down The Drop. But accomplishments and experience for each class are shared across adventures. …which is a good thing as you’ll need all the help you can get to survive. Enemies come in all shapes and sizes, many rooms are laced with devious traps and puzzles, and even the very architecture itself shifts in attempts to guard its secrets.

  17. Xseed have released an action RPG to Android mobile devices, titled Ark of the Ages. The game sports 3D visuals and puts you in the role of a knight of the Royal Order, who has been sent to Emilie village to investigate a series of recent incidents. The action takes place in a place named the Tower of Magic, which is a giant tower constructed by a great wizard a millennium ago. As you explore dungeons, you’ll have to navigate traps and pitfalls, and battle enemies. During exploration, the camera will be behind your character but for battles, it shifts to first-person. In battle, you attack by swiping across the screen, to simulate blade slashes. You’ll be able to find loot and customize your gear along the way as well, and connecting to other players via the GREE service yields bonuses like increased frequency of special attacks. Ark of the Ages has 24 dungeons and is available on Google Play for $1.99. Xseed say an iOS version will be released in the coming weeks as well. You can watch a trailer for the game above. 21. There's a new fighting game out for Android gamers to test their skills in when it comes to beating the crap out of their opponents. This is a well-known franchise that has seen both console and arcade versions of it released over the past decade and now it has moved onto Android as well. Namco Bandai finally decided to bring Soul Calibur to Android and if you follow fighting games at all then you should already know a lot about this franchise since it is one of the more popular ones out there in this genre. It even has its own section in the EVO eSports tournaments. This release is the original Soul Calibur game and comes with the full 19 character roster to play as. Play as classic hulking zombies or frantic infected zombies. Unleash an overwhelming swarm of zombies to capture buildings, upgrade your horde, strengthen your monster and obliterate your enemies! “…one of the most surprisingly enjoyable games I’ve played on the PAX East 2013 show floor.” - Griffin McElroy, Polygon “The benefits of fast, frantic console play seem to far outweigh the sacrifice of certain strategic options that could only work in a complicated game like StarCraft.” - Brian Albert, New York Post “The double-content for the single-player experience and 1v1 rough matches between both factions offer content for hours of enjoyment. As a zombie would, it grabs you by the brains.” - Alexandru-Valentin Mirea, NoobFeed “Everything that makes the RTS genre so great is simplified down into a charming, fun and easy to play package.” - Nathan Carter, Gaming Nexus Zombie warfare! For those of you not familiar with the franchise, Dead Trigger 2 is a first-person zombie survival game where you'll be trying to live through the zombie apocalypse long enough to see mankind actually get situated and not wiped out. This sequel brings a large improvement over the original game with even better graphics, bigger games, more zombies and pretty much more of everything. Additional Dead Trigger 2 Features: - New NPCs who will accompany you during the game and a new Hide-out concept, two new features that will help you to enjoy the game even more. - Enhanced graphic effects. You’ll be amazed at the Realistic Water Reflections, Dynamic Shadows, Dynamic Light Projectors and Dynamic Grass. DEAD TRIGGER 2 graphics also include Per-pixel Lighting and Advanced Ragdoll Physics. - New locations. Join the global resistance, visit different locations and fight against local zombies in Shanghai, London or in the middle of the desert far away in Africa. - A real time and never-ending story that will be affected by the behavior of every single player. Take part in the global Resistance and together with millions of other players, fight for a better world. - Sinister new boss AI that promises to completely change gameplay. This means no more repetitive gameplay for you! - A free to play game with no premium content or premium weapons. Everything is available to everyone! Find blueprints and build up new weapons and gadgets. - Multi-platforms with one account. Dead Trigger 2 will be released for iOS and Android, as well as on Steam, Mac and Facebook. There is also a new game mechanic introduced into this sequel where even though you're doing single-players content, everyone has to work together with everyone else playing the game for the greater good of humanity and its survival. So everything you do, even in single player mode, is contributing to the game overall. Dead Trigger 2 is available for download off of Google Play for free and while it does include optional IAPs you can purchase, these do not affect the game or the possibility to play right through to the end of it. If you own a Tegra 4 device, you'll be getting extra visual goodies to enjoy as well. Google Play Link: Dead Trigger 2
  25. Cave is a well-known company that develops bullet hell shooter style games for multiple platforms. These games give both seasoned veterans of the genre as well as newcomers plenty of challenge when playing any of their current titles. The company has a new game in the works according to Siliconera called Don Paccin and even though this game is riddled with cute looking enemies and other visuals, you can expect this game to be just as hard as any of their other current titles. What makes this game more interesting than their previous ones isn't the fact there is a plethora of cutesy type stuff in it but the fact that there's some sort of RPG elements layered over it. Over time players will be able to upgrade their ships, something that hasn't really been a feature in any of their games up until now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj6Y28ZrMGc Another interesting addition to this game is that there will be a fuel system. You'll only be able to fly so far on a tank of gas before you will need to fill up or crash because you ran out of fuel. As usual though there will be power-ups to pick up along the way in each level. As for when this game will actually get released, nothing has been announced yet aside from the fact it is in development for Android. In the meantime, there is a trailer we get to watch to see some of the gameplay in Don Paccin. Website Referenced: Siliconera
